The TASB/E3 team has completed a four phase, district-wide energy efficiency and conservation program at Needville ISD west of Houston. The district used existing fund balance to pay for the project. The project was designed to yield the district over $104,000 in annual utility savings.
A highlight of the project is that Needville ISD is one of the first Texas school districts to install LED lighting throughout the interior classrooms of multiple school buildings.
Completed in six months, the comprehensive project included:
- LED lighting upgrades throughout the majority of the district
- Replacement of 29 HVAC units on the Junior High
- Roofing project
- Replacement of an aging 2 pipe chilled water system with split system units at the elementary.
- Retrocommissioning of the High School
