The Caldwell ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the renovation of the HVAC and lighting systems at Caldwell High School. This project was designed to accomplish the following goals:

- Provide a more comfortable learning environment for CHS students
- Replace aging HVAC systems that are failing and difficult to maintain
- Implement new technologies that will benefit instruction
- Maximize energy savings to save taxpayer dollars
- Enhance the overall appearance of the interior of CHS
Caldwell ISD partnered with the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) / E3 Entegral Solutions (E3) to implement this renovation project. A description of the project is as follows:

- Replacement of the existing chilled water HVAC system with 45 new units so classrooms and other areas can be individually controlled for comfort
- New air conditioning units for computer rooms
- New exhaust fans
- Demo and air conditioning of two mechanical rooms
- New ceiling grid
- New LED lighting in all interior spaces
- New building automation control system to maximize comfort and ease of operation
